Endangered: Forbes Avenue (downtown)

Point Park University has made application to demolish three historic low-rise buildings on Forbes Avenue near Wood Street in downtown Pittsburgh. They also installed a bunch of pretentious signs on them. "Shoe shopping power walk lunch break!" Gag. It seems a contradiction that they are promoting downtown, while also attempting to destroy the things that make downtown cool.

  1. Do you know where I can find information on these buildings?

  2. Those lions on the top of the building are such an amazing detail. There's a building in a similar style on East Carson Street, the old Iron and Glass Bank Building has these really cool wolves heads across the top of it but most people never notice. I hope that does not get demolished.
